Find a Dentist (findadentist.com.au) is a trading name of JR Marketing Group Pty Ltd (ABN 90 606 960 721). Some listed practices are clients of JR Marketing Group. In these terms, "Find a Dentist", "we", "us" and "our" mean JR Marketing Group Pty Ltd (ABN 90 606 960 721), trading as Find a Dentist.

Emergency? Call 000 or go to your nearest hospital emergency department. Find a Dentist is a search tool and can't help in an emergency.
1. What Find a Dentist is
Find a Dentist is an online directory and search service that helps you find dental practices in Australia. We are not a dental practice. We don't provide dental, medical or health advice, and we don't employ or supervise any dental practitioner. Any treatment you receive is a matter between you and the practice. JR Marketing Group also provides marketing services to some of the practices listed (see section 7.5).
2. Not medical advice
2.1 Not medical or dental advice. Search results and "Why we recommend" explanations are not a diagnosis, a clinical assessment, triage, a referral, or advice to have (or not have) any treatment.
2.2 Not an endorsement. A practice appearing in results, having a Premium listing or being labelled "Reviewed listing" is not an endorsement of that practice or practitioner. It isn't a statement about clinical skill, quality, safety or outcomes.
2.3 It can be wrong. Our search uses automated tools, which can include an AI service, to interpret what you type and to describe practices. It can misunderstand you, miss practices, show them in an unexpected order, or reflect out-of-date information. Always check details such as services, fees, hours and registration with the practice before you rely on them.
2.4 What we don't promise. We don't promise any clinical outcome, that an appointment will be available, any cost or fee, that a practice accepts a particular health fund, Medicare or Child Dental Benefits Schedule claim, or that a practice offers a particular service.
2.5 Emergencies. If you have swelling that affects breathing or swallowing, bleeding that won't stop, a serious injury to the face or head, severe pain with fever, or anything that feels like an emergency, call 000 or go to your nearest emergency department.
3. Information about practices
3.1 Sources. Practice information comes from the practice itself, from the practice's own website, and from other public sources. It may be out of date or incomplete. We take reasonable care, but please confirm details with the practice.
3.2 Registration. You can check a practitioner's registration on the AHPRA public register (www.ahpra.gov.au). A practice being listed doesn't mean we have assessed its clinical competence.
3.3 Labels. "Reviewed listing" means the practice has agreed to be listed and has confirmed its details with us, and we have reviewed them. "Basic listing" means the details come from public sources and haven't yet been reviewed by Find a Dentist. These labels aren't a rating of clinical quality.
3.4 Correction and removal. A practice, or a practitioner named in a listing, can ask us at any time to correct or remove the listing by emailing hello@findadentist.com.au. We'll confirm that you're authorised and act as soon as practicable. We won't add a removed practice again without its agreement.
4. Fees and Medicare or health fund claims
Fees, bulk billing (including the Child Dental Benefits Schedule), health fund arrangements, payment plans and "preferred provider" status are decided by practices, funds and government. Confirm them with the practice before treatment. Any payment option shown is as listed by the practice. It isn't a promise of acceptance, price or eligibility.
5. Using the site
You must not: misuse the site; try to access or disrupt our systems; scrape, harvest, bulk-download or copy practice data or search results; use bots or automated queries; try to manipulate, reverse-engineer or probe the search (for example with prompt-injection attempts); submit false or misleading information; or enter another person's personal information without permission. We may restrict access if you breach these terms.
6. Contacting practices
Find a Dentist doesn't take enquiries or bookings for practices and doesn't forward messages. Phone, email and booking links on a listing go straight to the practice, using the phone number, email address and booking link from the practice's own details. We don't pass on your search or personal details. Once you contact or book with a practice, that practice's own privacy policy applies to what you give it. We can't promise that a practice will respond or have an appointment available. Please don't include emergency or sensitive health details when you contact a practice. In an emergency, call 000.
7. Practices: listings and Premium
7.1 Eligibility. You must be authorised to act for the practice. Every listed practitioner must hold current registration with the Dental Board of Australia, and "specialist" may be used only for practitioners with specialist registration.
7.2 Your content and advertising compliance. You are responsible for the content in your listing. It must comply with the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law (including section 133), the Dental Board of Australia's advertising guidelines and the Australian Consumer Law. That means no testimonials about clinical care, no false or misleading claims, no misuse of "specialist", and no promises of results. We may edit, leave out or remove content that we reasonably believe breaches these rules or that we can't check against your practice's own information. Please tell us when your details (services, hours, payment options, languages and accessibility) change.
7.3 Free listings. A basic listing is free. A practice can claim its listing, confirm its details and ask for changes at no charge.
7.4 Premium. Premium is a paid listing. Premium is available by application; we approve each Premium listing before it goes live. The current price and what Premium includes are published on our page for dental practices (/dentists). All prices include GST. The fee, billing period and any renewal for your Premium listing are confirmed with you in writing before your Premium listing goes live. Applying for Premium doesn't commit you to anything. Before a Premium listing goes live, both the practice and we (Josh Rimmington, for Find a Dentist) approve its content. We check that it is accurate, supported by the practice's own information and consistent with section 7.2. Our approval is about the listing content. It isn't an endorsement of the practice or its care (see section 2.2). Premium doesn't promise any number of patients, calls, bookings or revenue.
7.5 Premium listings in search results, and our relationships. Premium listings are paid. They are labelled "Premium" next to the note "This is a paid Premium listing. Premium listings are shown above other matching results and are ordered by how well they match your search, using each practice's stored details." with a link to How Premium listings work.
• Shown above other matching results. We first find the practices that are a relevant match for a search, using each practice's stored details (for example the area, the care asked for, opening days and languages). Premium listings that are relevant matches are then shown above the other results. If more than one Premium listing is a relevant match, they are shown together and ordered among themselves by how well each one matches the search. The other results follow, also ordered by how well they match. A practice is never shown just because it pays. No Premium listing is placed above others if we don't know the searcher's location or nothing matches. In emergency or urgent searches, a Premium listing is only placed above others if its stored details show that the practice offers emergency or urgent dental care.
• Everything else. Premium status doesn't change the explanation text we generate, and a Premium listing doesn't hide information about other practices. A Premium listing isn't our recommendation or an endorsement (see section 2.2).
• Related party. JR Marketing Group, which operates Find a Dentist, also provides marketing services to some listed practices. Some Premium practices are clients of JR Marketing Group.
7.6 How results are ranked. Results are ordered by: (a) fit, meaning how well each practice matches the search, based on the details we hold, with where the practice is counting as part of fit (listings whose only information about services comes from general business categories can rank lower and aren't shown as a "Strong match"); (b) distance, which breaks ties between practices that fit equally well, nearest first (distances are in km); and (c) Premium placement, as described in section 7.5. See How results are ranked. We don't publish the numeric weights.
7.7 Licence. You give us a non-exclusive licence to display your practice's name, logo, photos and listing details on the site, and in marketing of the service, for as long as your listing is active. We don't claim ownership of factual information about your practice.
7.8 Removal and suspension. You can ask us to remove your listing at any time. We may suspend or remove a listing for a breach of these terms, loss of registration, inaccurate information, non-payment of an agreed Premium fee, or risk to patients.
7.9 Your rights. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
8. Practices we contact
We may contact dental practices at their published business contact addresses to tell them about listing on Find a Dentist. Every message identifies us, includes our contact details and has a free, working unsubscribe, which we act on within 5 business days. We keep a list so that we don't contact a practice again after it unsubscribes. A practice can ask where we got its details, or ask us to stop, at any time by emailing hello@findadentist.com.au. 9. Intellectual property
The site, its design, text and software belong to us or our licensors. You may view and print pages for personal use. Please don't copy or reuse content, including the match explanations, without our written permission. The explanations are generated by our system from stored practice details. They aren't written or checked by a practitioner.
10. Disclaimers
To the extent the law allows, the site is provided "as is". We don't promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that automated outputs will be accurate or complete. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy, or any guarantee, that you have under the Australian Consumer Law and that can't lawfully be excluded.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, and subject to section 10, where our liability for a breach of a consumer guarantee can be limited, it is limited at our option to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again. To the extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for the acts or omissions of any practice or practitioner.
12. Third-party links and services
Links to practice websites and other sites are provided for convenience. We're not responsible for their content. We use service providers to run the site, including hosting, email and an AI service. Our Privacy Policy has the details.
13. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how we use it.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The current version is always on this page with its effective date. If a change materially affects practices with a Premium listing, we'll tell them by email before it takes effect.

16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. The courts of Queensland have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
